Project
Wastewater treatment system of Chau Doc General Hospital
Project explanation
Garbage screens: Here garbage such as nylon, plastic and other large-sized substances in wastewater will be retained and collected and taken to a sanitary landfill.
Collection tank: After passing through the screen, the waste water is concentrated in the collection tank and pumped to the conditioning tank.
Conditioning tank: Stabilize flow, contaminant concentration, pH. Preliminary ventilation to avoid anaerobic decomposition causing odors.
Aerotank: In the aerobic biological treatment tank, activated sludge is used suspended with specific microorganisms for the process of aerobic decomposition in combination with the substrate. The air is enhanced by a large-capacity blower through the air diffusion disc systems at the bottom of the tank, the amount of dissolved oxygen in the wastewater in the Aerotank tank is always maintained in the range of 2-3 mg/l to ensure an adequate supply of oxygen for living organisms and the consumption of organic matter in wastewater.
Sedimentation tank: A large amount of sludge in the clarifier is removed from the bottom of the tank by a suction pump:
Part of the pump returns to the Aerotank tank, the rest is put into the sludge compaction tank. The efficiency of suspended sediment separation reaches 70-80%. Clear water flows through the collection trough to the storage tank to prepare for the pressure filtration process.
Storage tank 1: The water after settling is put into the storage tank. The purpose is to prepare water for the pressure filtration process, ensuring the clarity of the treated water.
Pre-filter device: After the settling stage, a small amount of suspended sediment remains in the wastewater, which will be retained by a rapid sand filter under closed conditions. After filtration, the water is directed to a disinfection tank to perform the sterilization process.
Disinfection tank: Contact with Chlorine to completely destroy Coliforms and other disease-causing germs, the treated water meets environmental standards and is discharged into the receiving source.
Tank 2: Receiving the amount of water from the sterilizer and storing the water ensures enough time for ozone to kill microorganisms and pathogens.
